the next big news: Germany is out of the running for world cup.
sigh. im sad. i guess the whole of germany is mourning too. though i cannot admit tt i supported them from the start coz i only started supporting them after i saw the repeats of their match against sweden. plus all the newpaper reports about them, i thought they have improved tremendously from last season's world cup, when they were trashed by Brazil in the finals. they appeared pretty tired yesterday and many good players didnt really shine. probably its bacause of the loss of frings, or the pressure of being at home ground. but whatever the reason is, they have failed to advance to the finals and yes, that is a great disappointment. many have favoured the germans to win the world cup but sadly to say, the 2006 world cup wun have their names on it this year. anyway, admist the disappointment, the world cup stil has to go on. though i am not supporting any team now, i still prefer having france to win the cup.
the consolation: germany ha a very high chance of getting third in this year's world cup and miroslav klose is currently leading in the golden boot award and would definitely get it unless thierry henry scores 2 more goals or patrick vieira scores 3 more. either way its quite hard so at least klose will win the golden boot award for his country.
