euro 2008 is really highly unpredictable.

so far, the 3 winners of their group are all eliminated. portugal, croatia and netherlands(!!). totally didnt expect turkey to make it through. nor did i expect netherlands to be out. the score was pathetic. they lost 1-3 to russia. and to think many people (including me) said russia would be gone for sure. who knows, spain may lose to italy tonight too. i havent seen them both play yet. so cannot really make any comments. but i know many are confident spain will win.

anyway, the newpaper also said the semis of germany against turkey is a sure win for germany. lol. i hope germany wins. they seem to be getting stronger. whee. shall definitely watch the match on wed night/thurs morning. though i have to wake up at such an ungodly hour.

speaking of which, singapore pools must be making a lot of money from euro cup. what with all the predictions failing and people buying the wrong teams. eg portugal, croatia and netherlands in the QF. who in the world would buy for turkey or russia for instance? the payouts were high, meaning theres a high chance for them to lose. if italy wins tonight, i think people will all fall off their chairs of something. anyway, it's funny how the newpaper said that the journalist heard a collective thud when germany made it through to the semifinals, as many people fell of their chairs in disbelief.

i think i have to blog more. i only have 7 posts in 3 months. how pathetic is that.

in steff's house now. escaped from atc for a while.

yesterday was funny. we helped out in nightwalk which i think was kind of hilarious. ang's screaming was scary though. and all the funny stuff we did to scare cadets. i hope they got scared. the worst thing was that if they found it funny. then it means we're really failures at scaring people, since our nightwalk in atc 05 failed terribly. anyway, but steff said she saw someone 'running for her dear life' so at least one person was scared.

after nightwalk was, lights out. at like 11pm. since when did cadets get to sleep so early during atc? i thought the norm was like 1-2am. anyway, we failed in stealing their rifles. i think its because first night cadets aren't really tired and completely knocked out yet. i still remember out atc second night, it wasnt even 1 hour after lights out yet, but still we managed to wipe out charlie. lol. plus something very embarassing happened which up till today, still makes me and wl laugh terribly. anyway, we spent the night eating. and then we went to the class to use comp. steff, hq and ww slept first. then me and wl decide to look at our old sqd blog posts since steff kind of mentioned it tt night. gosh i cannot believe we wrote tt. or for that matter, i cannot believe i myself wrote that. it like reading it again, all my goosebumps were rising. i almost died trying now to laugh. and our language was whoa! all that 'lahz' and 'sianz' was so funny. anyway, soo wei li went to sleep at 6 plus and she woke up at 7 to go to work. gosh if i were her i would have died. anyway she seems quite fine in the office except tt she kept dozing off (i read from her blog) i didnt sleep throughout the night but was surprisingly quite ok.

kind of miss atc. i remember when i was a sec one, everyone was so smelly. i almost died because it was a pretty hiong camp. what with ma'ams scolding us all the way and everything. i remember how happy i was on the last day. i bet batch 42 would feel this way too, considering they only have 1 person per company. thats damn sad. lol. sec 2 was the best atc year i think. but then again, i think sec 2 would be the best year for most cadets. haha finally got cadets to scold. and ma'ams only care abt the sec 1's and sec 3 so in sec 2, atc was kind of easy to pass through. the most memorable thing was the incident after atc. the fall in part. sec 3 was slack. day camp, what do you expect. 8 am to 6 pm daily. so boring. i fell sick though on the third day so didnt go cheering comp. anyway its not very fun so it doesnt really matter. its just fun to lead cadets for once. and though we're the oldest batch of cadets, the sec1s and 2s do/carry everything so it was slack.

so at steff's house now. read a bit of old sqd blog again and then we all went to sleep. its really straight off to dream land for all of us. i didnt even realise weili messaged me when normally i would wake if my phone vibrated. i didnt even realise tt steff woke to go for her lesson, though she's like just next to me. anyway woke up at 1 plus when steff came back and we ate lunch. talked abt uni stuff. then steff went to get something and now we're all watching ratatouille.

let's see. im rewatching heart of greed. which is 溏心風暴. since my mum is watching it, so i'll just watch it together with her. the show's not bad. i like all the scheming plots in the shows. like when they focus on the family itself. the subplots, like the love relationship between the 2 lawyers, are boring.

im watching forensic heroes II (法證先鋒II) too. its the typical show where police and forensic science people solve crimes. using stuff like dna and fingerprinting etc. quite interesting but i still prefer the first series.

yup just came back from my cousin's chalet last week. it was at the changi safra chalet. whoopee. spent the entire 2 days there playing mahjong. and watching tv. we watched 见鬼 10, which was absolutely retarded and so not scary. we also watched 881. not bad but the show is too lame and flashy for my liking. we also watched this kungfu mahjong show which was ultra funny. and besides these, theres also the normal channel 5 and 8 shows. at night, we went out to the changi main road to look at interesting ppl. if you get what i mean. we see them standing by the roadside waiting for clients, while cars just drive round and round trying to haggle the price with them. gosh they look kind of normal and everything. but once they open their mouth to talk, its gg. but i really wonder why they would want to do that. after all, isnt it a bit unnatural? but anyway since the straits times ran a report on this issue, i guess its becoming less controversial and strange for many. and its an open secret that changi is the place to see such things.

oh and theres the showdown. i watch it not because the games are nice. in fact, i think the show is lame. but i like the commentators. the muttons. they are hilarious. seriously they must be real smart to be able to think of such funny things to say on the spot. and their 'fake arguements' with each other is funny.

and there's the uefa euro cup too. my dad didn't suscribe to channel 30 so i wun be able to watch all tht germany matches. theres the turkey and czech republic later at 245 on ch 22. but i wun be watching it i think. dun really care much abt these 2 teams. im more interested in portugal and germany and maybe spain. italy and france got trashed (irony considered they were world cup 06 finalists and the players seem to be the same). netherlands seem to be very good this season. greece is rubbish as well, even though they won the previous euro cup. yup so in my prediction, the teams to look out for would be portugal, germany, netherlands and spain. and have to mention that croatia is one good team as well. totally didnt expect them to defeat germany. yup so thats one dark horse. anyway i'll still support germany. lol. still, i have a feeling netherlands is going to get it this year. its also funny how england failed to make it through the qualifiers. i would have loved to see the english team play again.

actually, im really addicted to television now. this post is basically all about tv. lol.
